Using Sonos Amp as rear speaker driver in surround sound

Just upgraded my gen 1 Sonos 5 to an Arc. Have a Sonos amp in the same room but behind the sofa driving speakers facing the TV. The amp and TV are on the same LAN network but are too far apart to connect by HDMI cable, Is there a way to connect the TV or Arc to the amp for surround sound?

The Amp is designed to be able to connect with the Arc wirelessly to act as surround speakers. Follow these instructions:
