I’ve read a bunch of articles and can’t figure out why my TV won’t play through my new Sonos 5. My TV is a few years old (a Sony Bravia) and doesn’t appear to have a headphone “port” … so, according to articles I’ve read, I bought a cord that plugs into the 5 and then has the red and white jacks that are supposed to plug into the red and white “audio out” ports on my TV. And then, in my TV settings, I switch from “TV” speakers to “Audio” speakers. But I get nothing. I tried it on another TV and couldn’t get sound. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong?!? Help, please! Thanks.

This is likely more a question for Sony, and without the TV’s model number or a link to the online manual, it’s hard to tell, but it’s possible that you may not need to switch that setting from TV to Audio. It really depends on what those red and white connectors are for. And of course, you may need to adjust the settings for the line in.
