Hello Sonos community, I recently added a second sub to my living room home theater system. This consist of the following.…

play base, two play 3’s as rears and two subs one on the right and one on the left.

I haven’t really watched a movie to really notice the difference, what I have noticed is that the bass is more noticeable.

Any ideas on movies to watch to give the two subs a workout?

Welcome, thank you for reaching out to Sonos Community since you already tried some troubleshooting steps let me try to assist you.

Here are the settings you can try for your Sonos sub volume.

  1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
  2. From the  Settings tab, tap System.
  3. Under Products, tap the room that your Sub is in.
  4. Under Sound, tap Sub Audio.

You can adjust the settings listed below. If you’ve added two Subs to a room, each setting will apply to both Subs.

Setting Description
Sub Tap the switch to toggle the Sub audio on or off.
Sub Level Use the slider to increase or decrease the volume of the Sub audio.
Phase Control Select the phase of the Sub audio to help compensate for weak bass during playback.
Reset Tap this to reset all Sub audio settings to their default values.
