Hi. I have a Sonos playbar and a Sonos Play1. Both run on the S2 app. If I purchase a Sonos One 2 gen - will I be able to set the two speakers with the soundbar as surround sound?

Only products of the same model can be used together as surround speakers. If you currently have a Play:1, you need to use another Play:1.

Used Play 1 speakers are available for good prices.
Or you could get a pair of One SL speakers to use as surround and use the Play 1 elsewhere.
