Surround Sound

I’ve recently bought a Sonos Beam (gen 2) and want to connect my other Sonos’s to create surround sound from my TV. I have a Sonos Play:1 & a Sonos one. When I click on “Set Up Surrounds” it states it can’t find 2 compatible devices but I thought both the Play:1 & One can be uses in Surrounds. Is there a way to make these work together?

The Play:1 and One are two different models and can’t be paired as surrounds.

I suggest getting a used Play:1 on eBay to pair with your current Play:1 or get a One SL to pair with your current One.

Thanks, frustrating but looks like the only way around it.
