There is an option to allow passthrough on my Sony bravia kd48a9. Should I enable this for the arc?

Thanks for reaching out, let me check it for you.
I suggest enabling the ‘passthrough’ setting on your TV to allow connection of a source device(s) to your TV and have the source’s audio signal through the Arc.
Sonos Arc supports the playback of Dolby Atmos audio via Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD. Sonos Arc must be connected to HDMI ARC or HDMI eARC to play any Dolby Atmos content.
