Can I get 2 play 1 speakers and use them as tv speakers instead of buying a soundbar?

No, that's not possible with only 2 Play1.
There might be a solution including a connect if you don't want to buy a Playbar/Playbase.
(TV out to connect in and via sonos net streaming to play 1s. But you will have a sound delay if you can't sync the TV out signal)
