Sonos one and play 1 and how to create surround sound? Makes no sense that I would need to sonus ones with Alexa built-in to have surround sound in the same room. Seems a bit much as far as financially to have such an advanced speaker and two of them within speaking distance love each other. So question is can I have a Sonos one and a Sonos Play 1 Soundbar and subwoofer as my surround sound system?

Look into an app called Sonosequencer. Do a search in the Community as there are threads there where users state they have linked (assume they mean create a stereo pair but not sure) various Sonos devices including a Sonos One and a Play 1. I haven’t used the app because I’ll wait awhile and then buy a used One, create a stereo pair and just turn off Alexa on one speaker.
