I’m replacing my 5.1 wired home theatre system with a a SONOS Arc and Sub. The Arc is installed, the Sub is on back order. I was considering replacing the two rear speakers with SONOS One SL’s. The current speakers are attached to brackets close to the ceiling. I was thinking that I could use the SONOS One Mounts to mount the speakers. Then the issue becomes power. I was thinking (hoping) that I could get an electrician to set up an outlet in the attic, and run the power cords through the existing speaker wire holes and plug into the outlet. Is this a reasonable approach?

Hi
If you are able to get power in your attic to mount the Sonos One SL’s on the ceiling you might consider the short cable in the link below. They are compatible with the One SL. Using a short cable you could actually install an outlet with cover plate in the ceiling (or wall) for a professional finished look in stead of snaking a cable through a hole. If you are not in the USA and need a European prong you can visit the UK Flexson website.
