sonos beam not connecting to sony x800G tv

I have the beam connected through HDMI ARC, went into the Bravia settings and enabled Bravia sync, enabled the device, tv stated it was switching to external audio. Still no sound out of the beam.

I’ve read other people fixing this just using Bravia sync enabled but that didn’t solve the problem for me.  Any advice?  Thanks!

Try unplugging the TV from the wall for three minutes, then plug it back in.

Make sure the TV audio is configured to emit DD 5.1, and also every device connected to it. No DTS or DD+ or Atmos or PCM.

That was it!  TV default was set to DD+.  Sounds great with the beam.  Appreciate the help from both of you.
