Sonos Beam keeps disconnecting to Sony Bravia TV

Hi. I recently bought a Sonos beam to use with a Sony Bravia tv and for a few days it worked perfectly. The arc HDMI is connected properly and the Sony Bravia sync is on. Now it is cutting in and out, but mostly not connecting to the TV at all. When I restart it works for a moment then disconnects. It is horribly frustrating with two small children (!) and very disappointed considering all I’d heard about the Sonos beam. Please help. thanks

How old is the tv, are latest firmware updates applied, have you tried removing all power to the TV (I. E. unplug it) for a few mins and then reconnecting? 

Thanks Andy. TV is brand new, all firmware updates applied. Yep, tried turning off and on again.
