I have the Sonos Arc, sub and play ones connected via eArc to my Samsung TV. When I first got it there was an audio/video delay so I changed the output setting on my tv (the only options are PCM, Passthrough and Auto). It was originally on auto when I was having the delay issues so my question is, what is the best option for my Sonos Arc? PCM or Passthrough? And if anybody could explain the difference to me (preferably in dumbed down terms) I would appreciate it. Will I get fully supported surround sound from both? I’m only using our Xfinity cable box. Thanks!

The less amount of “altering” the signal as it goes through the TV, the better. All of the add-ones that the TV offers tends to add a small amount of delay in order to do the feature it suggests. Your best bet is always pass through.
