Sonos Arc network connection issues

I’m not able to connect my new Sonos Arc with the S2 app.

 

Details of my setup:

  • I have 2x One SLs setup as a stereo pair
  • All devices connected by WiFi
  • My router is a BT Hub 6A (BT Smart Hub 6)
  • No WiFi Extenders
  • Using iPhone XS Max for controller

My Arc is detected, I press the sync button and it just fails to connect.

Things I’ve tried already:

  • Connecting directly to router via Ethernet
  • Factory Reset
  • Reinstall S2 app on iPhone 

Is there anything else I should try?

I’ve now factory reset my One SLs. Then pairing the Arc first worked.

 

The left SL paired fine. But the right one won’t. Getting “Surround setup error”.

 

Not sure what to try next?

I’ve managed to get everything to pair by changing the router from Wireless Mode 1 to Mode 2.

I’ll try switching back to 1 later now it’s paired.
