Im having a new kitchen installed and have four ceiling speakers fitted which will be fed from the new Sonos Amp. Im looking to connect this via HDMI arc to a TV which in turn is connected via HDMI to a sky Q mini box.
Firstly am i correct with the above set up and secondly are there any known compatibility issues with any TV brands in using ARC? I'm researching the TV at the minute.

Are you intending to get surround channels out of this, or only stereo?
HDMI-ARC is a cross platform standard. Unless your particular TV manufacturer hasn’t implemented it properly, it should work.

Then it should work without issue.
