Sonos Amp 5.1 settings without Sonos Sub

Hi,

if I set No SUB by app in a 5.1 setup with DD 5.1 stream the .1 channel will redirect to L and R speakers?

Hi.  I am not sure exactly how it shares out the sub channel between speakers but you don’t lose that channel.  Of course there may be very low frequencies that the Sub can get down to but the speakers can’t.

Hi,

 

no problem for low end because I use a dsp for recreate 2.1 channel.

By this way I can have full control (xover type, slope, gain and especiallly eq)

The dsp is a Helix that have high level input,

Most important thing is not to lose the sub channel.

 

I’m very happy with my sonos amp, but don’t have an internal eq is a big issue (bass and treble reg. isn’t a eq)
