Small depression on center grille of Sonos Arc Ultra – is this normal?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Sonos Arc Ultra and noticed a small depression in the top center of the speaker grille, approximately where the led is located. It’s not visible in photos and can only be felt when I run my finger across it.

Is this part of the design, or could it be a defect? I haven’t noticed any issues with sound quality, but I just want to be sure. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Thanks in advance!

I went black to the shop, opened a new one, same small depression in the same spot. It's all good 👍

To my knowledge there are no indentations in the grille. However, I can’t check the location you referenced at this time.

Thanks for the photo. I have no indentation on the grill of my ArcUltra’s (3). Depending upon where you purchased it (and you’re still within the return window) ask for another unit based on “discovered cosmetic damage”.

I also have a very very small depression, not visible as such and can only be felt when you run your fingers over it.
However, if the light is correct and you look down the side, you can see/hint at the depression.

Whether it's a mistake or just the way it's assembled I don't know, but since I haven't seen/felt it before now (5 months old) it's nothing I want to complain about.

You failed to mention if the depression in yours is in the exact same area?

It's in the same place, just above the LED.
