singular era 100 + beam gen 2

Looking to purchase a singular Era 100 to link to my beam gen 2 for surround sound. Is this possible?

I saw something that said it had to be a pair of era 100s.

This is applicable for any Sonos speakers, not just the Era line. Any surround sound setup must be a pair of speakers.

If you want to add the Era 100 as surrounds, it has to be a pair of Era 100s. You cannot just add one surround speaker.

Hi

following up from this question. Can I ask.

I have a beam 2 and am thinking of purchasing 1 x Era 100.

My question is.  Not using it when the tv is on….can I link the beam and the singular Era 100 together to give me a better sound when simply listening to music?

Thanks

Dom

You can, but that is not necessarily better sound.  You'd lose any stereo effects from the Beam.  Though sound is subjective, I'd consider that worse.
