Got the remote working with the Playbar but the Samsung screen is still popping up with “Samsung Optical” every time I adjust the volume. Very annoying. Is there a code or something I can do to prevent this?

Hi, sarahwitt3. No, unfortunately not. This will happen regardless of what third party speakers are attached.

If you have a programmable remote, you could program a completely different TV volume control into the Playbar and your remote, so your TV will have no idea you are adjusting the volume (as it doesnt need to know).

As controlav says, if the remote is programmable, just add any receiver brand into the remote and set that as the volume control. Then train the Playbar/Playbase/Beam to use that IR code for volume. That way the TV does not see its own IR code(s) when the volume is used, so there is no need for it to display the popup.
