Samsung Tv beam connection

Hi there

i have a new Samsung 55 inch QLED (Q60B) and I can’t connect to my new gen 2 beam. It consistently says the message “your audio device is connects to a port that does not support ARC, please connect your device to HDMI (2) ARC port.”

I have connected the HDMI cable to the rear of the tv in the ARC connection just above the audio out.

what am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Joe

That’s the wrong HDMI port. Use HDMI 2. It is below the ethernet port:

Ok thanks! What is that port that I was using then?

Just a regular HDMI port.  Typically, newer TV’s have a single HDMI-ARC port, and several regular HDMI ports.
