Hi

Here‘s a simple way to move from Arc to Arc Ultra; by the numbers assuming you have a stable system/network:

1. Update your router
2. Update your device 
3. Update the Sonos app (which may require a delete and reinstall)
4. In the app select the Cog Wheel in upper right corner to display “System Settings”. Select “Manage” and scroll down to “System Updates” and select “Check for Updates”. Run Install if an update is available .
5. In the room (inside the app) for the Arc remove sub(s) and surrounds *
6. Do Not Factory Reset subs or surrounds
7. Unplug the Arc and set it aside 
8. Plug-in your Arc Ultra (the LED should flash Green after a few seconds)
9. Open the app and select “Add a Product” and it should find the Arc Ultra **
10. Setup the Arc Ultra as a stand-alone unit with room name. This includes connecting to your TV and setting up the remote  *** 
11. Open the app and select “Add a sub” or “Add surrounds” 
12. Adding surrounds you’ll be shown each surround separately and eventually asked to add both
13. When adding a sub it will show as unused. That is the one you want to select. ****
14. After the Arc Ultra and/or sub(s) and surrounds are set you can use TruePlay (Quick or Advanced) to adjust for optimal sound in your room. 
15. Be sure to set your surrounds to “Full” for music; if that is your preference.
16. Enjoy your new Arc Ultra home theater. 

 * When removed Sub(s) will show as unused in the app and surrounds should revert back to their previous room names as stand-alone speakers. If surrounds show as a stereo pair you must separate them first.

 *** The app will prompt you to update the Arc Ultra. You might also consider keeping the same room name with a numeral temporarily. You can change it back or to something else after setup is complete. You’ll have to setup voice assistants again either Sonos Voice or Alexa. Be sure to toggle on the security switch on the rear panel to enable setup. Google is not an option.
