Hello,
I am thinking of placing the Sonos One SL rear speaker as they are in the diagram. I have Sonos Arc under the tv and Sonos Sub (Gen3) next to the systems.
What do you think? Will this work for surround sound when watching movies?

If you already have the One SL’s why not just try them and see what they sound like? You can always adjust the surround volume balance in the Surround EQ settings to increase the output if the rear speakers seem too quiet. Trueplay tuning may also help.
The surrounds are only there to provide the ambient sound, not the main soundtrack so I would say you should be fine. At the end of the day, if you can’t bring them closer to the main seating area, then you have no choice.
