Hi all

After having spent the last 2 or 3 hours for an answer, I give up and come here to ask my question!

I own a Philips 7300 series TV (exact ref is 50PUS7354/12) and plan to buy a Sonos Arc + 2 x One SL + Sub (3). Bought in november 2019.
Given the cost I would like to make really sure those Philips TV actually have eARC HDMI ports.
Everywhere it mentions ARC ports. However the TV supports Dolby Atmos, so I’m quite confused...

Could someone confirm this information or help me to find it, before I spend this much money on the Sonos system :)

Thanks!

Based on your TV’s manual, it is only equipped with HDMI ARC not eARC.

So your TV might be able to pass through Dolby Atmos via Dolby Digital Plus through streaming apps. The only way of knowing for sure is to test it yourself or find another Philips 7354 owner who has tested it with the Arc.

Because your TV does not have an eARC port, your TV cannot pass through lossless Dolby Atmos via Dolby TrueHD or multichannel LPCM.

Do you use any external media devices?

These Philips 7354/Sonos Arc owners are able to get Dolby Atmos audio to pass through the TV:

Thanks a lot for your feedback, and especially for those links!

It brings some serious hope but still not sure I should totally rely on just this... Or should I? 😊

To answer your question, no external device. I stream everything from the TV

If I were you, I would just purchase the Arc all by itself to test it out on your TV. If it doesn’t work, return the Arc. If it does, add the Sub and One SLs. You’ve invested this much time researching the Arc, so you might as well try it out yourself.

Yes, you're right, will do that.

Thanks for the advice
