Music works just fine but when using the tv there is no sound. What can I do to fix this problem?

Are you getting no sound from TV for all programing or just movies? Know that no Sonos soundbar will process DTS, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos or any other variation. Only straight Dolby Digital 5.1 or stereo can be processed.



If none of the above apply check the optical cable to be sure it is properly inserted or not damaged. To check for damage I suggest using another optical cable because even though you may see the red light on the end going to the Playbar there could still be an internal crack.



Also, check your TV's audio menu to be sure everything is set to external speaker. Let's us know things sort out.

Also check that in the Browse tab you have 'TV' selected as the source (and/or TV Autoplay is turned on).
