my sonos bar works fine with TV but has no sound with apps like youtube? Anyone know of a fix for this?

Hi there, robparmenter. Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community. Is the TV directly connected to the PLAYBAR via optical audio cable? What is the make and model of the TV you are working with? Are there any audio settings for the YouTube app?
Try playing audio from YouTube to the PLAYBAR and please submit a diagnostic report. I will be happy to take a look and advise on next steps.

You may want to also look to see if there are audio settings for the YouTube app itself. It may not be sending out an audio stream that the Sonos can recognize. It has to be either Dolby Digital or Stereo (PCM). If it's anything else, that would show up as "no sound" for the PLAYBAR.

If your not getting sound with your youtube app on TV then it is most likely outputting wrong sound type. You need to look for settings on sound output from youtube on tv or the app. Needs to be Dolby Digital (or PCM otherwise)
