I just bought a Sonos Beam. I understand I should be able to see the Home theater audio format being played in the S2 app. How can I do that?

You can see the audio format in the Sonos app by checking system information.
- On the Sonos app > Settings > System > About My System > look for your home theater speaker > Audio In
