Is it possible to use a PLAYBAR as a center channel with the AMP. I am imagining the following set-up:
a. New AMP wired to front left and front right speakers. (I have two Rogers LS3/5a speakers.)
b. SONOS PLAYBAR as the center front channel
c. Set of 2 PLAY:1 speakers as the rear channel
d. SONOS SUB as the subwoofer
I already own everything except the AMP. So, I am wondering if I can improve my system to make real 5.1.

No. The PLAYBAR encapsulates Right, Center and Left in one enclosure. There is no way to set it up as Center only, and split out Left and Right.
While it is not possible to use the playbar as a centre speaker the amp will give you a phantom centre channel so you can follow the rest of your proposed setup.
