Simple answer is Yes, if you want all your TVs integrated into your Sonos ecosystem. Unless you want to carry your playbar from TV to TV as required. I have my playbar hooked up to my main TV. For the others I just use the TV speakers

It will depend on the country within which you reside and also, possibly, the city or state.

This is because some mandate the use of the Sonos Playbar with a TV and in rare cases 2 Playbars are required (1 is a backup). Penalties range from public shaming to a spell in prison.

So if you live in Sarcasmia or Jokington, IL then get 2 Playbars for every TV.**

** You must ensure ALL the televisions are switched on at the same time when one is in use.

If this is a genuine question then don't invest in a PlayBar at all. Just use the TV's built in speakers, you'll struggle otherwise 😉
