Hi all,

i have an lg C9 updated with the last firmware version.

today I bought a Sonos Arc.

I had no issue in setting app the app. I got a firmware update at the first run.

my issue is: no Dolby atmos

I’m using a cable able to run content in 8k60hz (but I tried with the cable come with the arc).

I set hdmi2 with eArc on, pcm pass through.

When I play content from YouTube to test the Dolby atmos the app display just stereo pcm 2.0 or silenced.

Tried Netflix with a Dolby atmos content and the app display Dolby digital 5.1 plus

What I’m missing? I read a bunch of threads trying the suggestions but still in pain.

Help please!

YouTube videos are all in stereo.

Are you using the Netflix app on your TV or from an external device? What specific content are you testing? Do you have the Premium subscription on Netflix?

Also, set your TV to bitstream, not PCM.

Ok clear for YouTube, I didn’t know.

im using the Netflix app on tv with premium account.

pare there difference between using the tv app or external ones?

thank you

There can be. For instance, on my TV, a Vizio from 2018, the internal apps can produce a Dolby Digital Plus signal, which allows for a version of Atmos. However, the HDMI inputs from any external device can only pass a Dolby Digital signal, so any external device can not pass Atmos through my TV.

@SaMp3i Try these settings on your TV:

Sound Out

HDMI ARC selected

Digital Sound Out set to Passthrough

eARC set to ON

Additional Settings

DTV Audio Setting set to Auto

HDMI Input Audio Format set to Bitstream

I can not find where set the bitstream

hdmi input in greyout

HDMI Input Audio Format is greyed out? Where are you seeing the PCM setting?

I can not find where set the bitstream

hdmi input in greyout

You should (hopefully) find that input format in "Settings/Sound/Additional Settings/HDMI Input Audio Format”

The only other option is PCM

**Note - you have to switch/set the TV to the actual Input source before you can change it… (if required)
