I programmed my television remote for the Sonos system yesterday. The Samsung screen displays a "not available" message when using the tv remote with the Sonos system. How do I remove this message?
Hello Tom, Some televisions will display this message when it recognizes an attempt to change the volume but its internal speakers are disabled. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to disable these messages from popping up on the TV, but we can work around them by programming a cable or satellite remote to work with the PLAYBAR on an alternate setting. You can find some more information about this here: https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2083 Other third-party remotes can work as well: https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2022

(Do not forget to pound Samsung with a few emails and phone calls.  They won't change anything unless it becomes a royal pain in the _ _ _ for them.)

This no longer works with the new Directv remotes.  A universal remote is the best way to combat this issue.  But....if you are using the RF feature on the Directv remote, you will run into other issues. (RF means that you do not have direct line of site to your directv receiver.)
