I have a new Sony A95L QD-OLED and have connected my arc, sub and 2 1’s.   I use the app and I can only get Dolby multichannel PCM 2.0.   I had an older Sony and could away get Dolby 5.1 with the same set up.   

What am I doing wrong?

I don’t do much tv helping but if you search here on Sony you should find posts on the settings you need.

Try this under under Display & Sound/Audio output settings…

eArc Mode: Auto

Digital audio out: Auto 1

Dolby Digital Plus output: Dolby Digital Plus

Pass through mode: Off

To get Dolby 5.1 on your Sony A95L QD-OLED, ensure your audio settings prioritize pass-through and check if eARC is enabled. If issues persist, consider using an HDMI 2.1 switcher for multiple devices. For detailed settings, consult the TV’s manual or support forum. aarp membership cost
