I’ve bought a new TV (Samsung Q7Fa) which doesn’t have an optical out. I’ve read that I need a HDMI ARC to Optical adapter/converter. I also wan’t to be able to control the playbar volume with the TV remote. Does anyone have a suggestion for an adapter that will work? Thanks in advance!

You can try a HDMI to optical adapter like This one. Its a lot less expensive that a new soundbar, but, an upgrade may not be a bad thing right now with the sale going on.

+24If your TV remote can emit IR then it can control the Playbar.
