I have a Sonos 5.1 setup with Playbar, sub, two Ones for rear speakers. I also have one Play 5 in the TV room. As an aside, it is a very large room with a very high wooden ceiling. I have a second Sonos Play 5 coming. Has anyone tried using the 5.1 system with the addition of two Play 5 speakers set up as a stereo system? I was wondering if that would be overkill or would actually add to the great experience of the stand-alone 5.1 system?

If you grouped your new stereo pair of Play 5s with the 5.1 set-up then there would be a 70ms audio delay.

It would likely be horrible.

Set your 2 Play 5s up in another room for awesome music listening

Thanks Stuart, I was not aware of that phenomenon.
