Too vague a question. Post the TV model number to get a definitive response.

Dolby Digital+ is not supported by the Playbar and Playbase. It must be a regular Dolby Digital signal. Obviously the TV is outputting the signal, but it usually is outputting what it receives from the source. So you may want to see if your source (cable/satellite box, Blu-Ray player, game console, etc.) has a setting forcing the audio output to be Dolby Digital.

Most TVs that I'm aware of won't convert one audio format to another, unless it's converting to PCM Stereo. Whether this is done or not may depend on a setting in your TV's sound/audio settings.

If your TV is a smart TV, it's possible that apps that are built into your TV may still use DD+, but may not offer a setting to use regular DD.
