Atmos requires an HDMI connection. Sonos Playbar/Playbase are optical only. So, there's you answer.
Based on the recent release of the Playbase that still fails to include HDMI I would have to say - not in the foreseeable future. For some reason Sonos fails to see the need to make a product that works with current formats.
