I just bought a Sonos sub that I want to use in a covered patio. Can I use it with a cover over it to protect it without losing performance?

There are “acoustically transparent” covers you could use like these:

Great. The spot I want to put the sub could possibly get a little rain coming in if the wind is blowing.  Are they water proof?

Is there any cover that would protect from moisture.  Mostly it will be in dry area but rain could blow in.

A waterproof cover will not be acoustically transparent; but you could take it off when listening because it will not be raining those times?

That’s true. I’ll get a waterproof cover that is easily removed when I’m using the sub.

Look after the mains power outlet as well - you don't want rain to reach it at any time.
