I have been browsing the community for a fair bit now, and I am still curious about the Play 1s connectivity to the TV.
As i got a Play 1 already and want to upgrade to another + a Playbar, I wanted to know if I would be able to hear my TV through the Play 1s by connecting them with the Playbar? or do I need to buy a seperate Connect for my Play 1's to work with my TV?

+21In a word no. You need a Playbar/base for this to work properly. There are ways of getting sound from your TV to Sonos via a connect or Play 5 line input but there will be a delay that will likely be too distracting.
Sonos provide the Playbar/base just for this reason. You can add your 2 Play 1s as surround speakers to the playbar set up too.
