Hello!

I need some advice from you, I have an LG TV with Earc output, a UST projector (Awol) with earc, I have just bought a Feintech 0402 (https://feintech.eu/en/collections/hdmi-topseller/products/feintech-vax04101-hdmi-earc-pass-switch-4x1-for-soundbar).

I want to connect two to three players Playstation, Blueray through Feintech.

The problem I have is that I want to be able to choose to watch TV OR my projector without having to unplug and plug in the HDMI cable to get sound to my Sonos Arc Ultra.

It may be possible to add a small two way HDMI splitter to your setup, that would share the video out between the TV and projector.

I have not seen any unit for home use that does what you are looking for.

I have a similar setup in my basement, but I uses an Onkyo AV receiver with dual outputs instead of Sonos. I do have a HT system with an Arc in my living room though.

Thanks for the reply!

I've been looking around for a while for something that I can use for both the TV and the projector and get sound out to my Sonos arc ultra without having to pull out an HDMI cable all the time. It can't be rocket science to make a device that can take two sources to a soundbar. Is there anyone smart here who can advise on this?

Thanks for the reply..

But adding an HDMI splitter without earc is not possible as the projector only has HDMI inputs except for the eArc HDMI output of course. Need a splitter that has two st earc inputs and one earc output.

Hi @MikDon

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

You’d need a HDMI Matrix device that supports eARC to connect both a TV and a projector to your Arc Ultra at one time. It would be an unsupported setup and I cannot recommend anything, but the word “matrix” should be enough to help you find what you’re looking for.

I don’t know if there are any simpler types of device that would do it.

I hope this helps.

Hi
and thanks for the reply, I'll look around for an HDMI matrix that supports eArc. I'm surprised there isn't a solution for this yet, and I can't be the first to look for a similar solution.

But thanks again for the reply, I'll get back to you if I find a suitable solution.
