Can’t get Atmos to work on Samsung TV

I’ve been trying to fix this issue myself after searching here and other sites, to no avail.

I was watching WW84 on the Samsung TV HBO Max app. It shows Atmos support but I can’t get the DD+ Option to become available.

TV: Samsung QN82Q7DRAFXZA

Sonos ARC connect to TV via HDMI ARC port

Anynet + is active

Input Signal plus is active

Is there something I am missing here? One thing I did notice is I can’t choose the audio input type when I am in the expert audio settings.

Do I need a 2.1 HDMI?

thanks for the help!

There is a good chance HBO Max doesn’t support Dolby Atmos audio on the Samsung TV’s native app.

Have you been able to get Atmos audio from any other apps on your TV?

I actually had not and just put something on Prime that worked. Thanks!

Strange that it would say Atmos on the movie listing the but app doesn’t actually support it.
