Can I mount a Sonos Beam on the ceiling?

I have a projector screen mounted in the middle of a room.

Can I mount a Sonos Beam high up, at the ceiling of the room? Or will it sound weird, coming from up there?

I also have:
A Sonos sub (on the floor)
2 Sonos Play1 (about 1 meter from the floor, at the sofas corners)

In general, it's not recommended to mount a soundbar more than 4 inches, either below or above, from the screen.

Well, technically it is less than 4 inches above the screen, because the screen is huge.

But still, will it sound weird coming from the ceiling?
I wouldn’t think it would be significantly different than 4” below the screen. Why don’t you set up a step ladder, and temporarily sit the speaker on it, and see what you think?

Your ears are the ones that make a difference here, not ours. If it works for you, then it will be fine. No one here will have an issue.
