I’m trying to set up a remote control to work with a Playbar. The app keeps telling me it’s detecting button presses on my remote even when I’m not pressing buttons. The remote setup fails because the Playbar is detecting phantom button presses but not real ones. I tried this with two different remotes and did a factory reset of the Playbar, to no avail. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

Try powering the PlayBar off completely for a few minutes and then see if that fixes the issue... Oh and check the batteries in the remote.
Hi Ken, and thanks for the tip. I left the Playbar unplugged overnight and put fresh batteries in the three different remotes. No luck.
The IR receiver light on Playbar comes when I press buttons on each remote but there is a very long delay. The remotes work perfectly fine with my television.

Sounds a bit strange ...
Here is a link to a Sonos Support Page with different TV remotes and how to set them up with the PlayBar... see if that helps at all, otherwise I would submit a diagnostic and post the reference back here for the Sonos Staff to perhaps take a look at what’s happening.

Hope the above links help?

Hi Ken. I replaced the batteries in the remote and waited until night (no light interference) to try the remotes again. No luck.
I’ve submitted a diagnostic. Ref #319398627.

You may not get an answer from Support Staff here, as there is no one around till Monday, but if you get in touch with Sonos on Twitter or Facebook, they provide 24/7 cover there and may respond back to you today ... give them the link to this thread too.
