My HT system comprises a Sonos ARC, ERA 300’s and a SUB 3. TV is a new LG G5 77”. I am looking for a BR player to be used mainly for audio playback of Atmos and DTS discs.
I have seen that the Panasonic players are highly rated especially the ub820 and ub9000. The 9000 is a better constructed unit featuring superior audiophile-grade DACs and offers balanced XLR analog audio outputs. But as I am connecting my ARC using eARC then the analog section is not needed.
Any comments or suggestions would be most welcome. Thank you.

With a G5 just get the 450 if you can get it. Not much advantage of spending the extra money on the 820 for new high end TVs that I can see.
I have the 420 and got the G4. Turned off tone mapping after getting the G4 and set DTS to output as LPCM afte upgrading my Playbase to an Arc Ultra recently.
I have the Panasonic UB9000. Although I don’t used it for music only discs. Works excellent for 4K Ultra discs.
I should add you have to dig into the specs to see that the 450 is usually the same processor as the rest of the lineup.
