Hi everyone & thanks in advance for any help.

l have an LG Oled & going to purchase a Beam.

in the same room l have 2 Sonos Ones on either side of the TV & 2 in ceiling speakers powered by a ZP120 Connect Amp (yep it’s old but no reason to change :-).

Can l configure this as a surround set up, if so how would you do it.

Use all of the speakers or just the Beam & the ceiling & move the Ones elsewhere ?

Hi @Pantz

Welcome to the Sonos community and thanks for letting us know about your concern. Appreciate your interest in adding Sonos Beam to your system. Let me help you with this.

You can configure your 2 Sonos Ones as surround with Sonos Beam in a home theater setup. Before you begin adding your 2 Sonos Ones as surround, they should be in the same room,  must already be added to your Sonos system as separate rooms, and not configured as stereo pair. The Sonos app will guide you during the setup.

  1. Open the Sonos app for iOS or Android.
  2. From the Settings tab, tap System.
  3. Under Products, tap the Sonos home theater room.
  4. Tap Set up Surrounds.
  5. Follow the in-app instructions to add your speakers as surrounds.

Once you have added your 2 Sonos Ones as surround, you can adjust the audio settings for your Sonos home theater’s surround speakers. In configuring your Sonos system, you can have your Sonos speakers set up in each room separately, group all your speakers together to play music at the same time, or in a home theater set up, depending on your preferred listening experience.

Hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have further questions or concerns about your Sonos system. We are always happy to help out.

Thanks so much Rowena.

I will take on your advice.

My other question is if the in ceiling speakers which are powered by a ZP120 can be added in as rears for the Beam set up ?
