So, got an Arc yesterday but current 4K tv doesn’t have atmos or E-ARC. Looking at a TCL QLED tv at Costco abc it declares it has atmos, but doesn’t have the E-ARC hdmi slot? Will this work with the Sonos arc and provide atmos?

No is the simple answer.  There are add ones I believe that can get you there without an eARC but if you want a hassle free journey get a TV with eARC

Thanks

eArc is not necessary for Atmos - it is necessary for Atmos with lossless TrueHD audio,  You can get Atmos with DD+, which can be carried over HDMI-ARC.  Streaming services generally use DD+.

@Hoppy_79 What model is your current TV? Do you primarily use your TV’s native streaming apps or do you use external media devices?

I use sky Q, which is a separate box

@Hoppy_79 If you still like your current TV, you can get the HD Fury Arcana and it will allow your Sky Q to bypass your TV’s limitations and play audio directly to the Arc which will allow you to get Dolby Atmos audio from supported programs.
