I'm using Verizon cable. Does the output from that go into hdmi 2 of my LG TV? Then does the arc plug into my hdmi 1 [arc] of the tv?

The Sonos Arc or Sonos Beam connects to the ARC or eARC port on your TV. Any sources that you use would connect to the other HDMI ports that are not labeled ARC or eARC.
