Apple TV Volume Issues

I recently had to reset my Apple TV settings due to some issues I had. My Apple TV remote had always worked such that it would only control my Playbar, and not adjust my TV volume (important because disabling the TV speakers on my Panasonic plasma is not an option ).

After resetting my Apple TV, for some reason the Apple TV remote automatically learned my TV, and now controls both the Playbar and TV volumes at the same time. Any attempts I’ve made to disable the TV volume control also disables my Playbar volume control from my Apple TV remote.

What gives? Anyone have any clue on how to make my Apple TV remote “unlearn” my tv so that it only controls my Playbar?

Hi. Did you ever figure out how to make your Apple TV remote 'unlearn' your TV, yet still control your Sonos?

Thanks,

Jeff
