I am trying out the Sonos beam but wanted to connect my projector to the beam using phono cables... But since there is only a HDMI input I bought an Analog to digital Audio Converter - Goobay (https://www.avxperten.dk/ad-converter/analog-til-digital-audio-converter-goobay.asp) so I could add phono to adapter -> get optical out and use the HDMI to optical adapter that comes in the box.

But when I do this I have 1 second of sound, then 1 second of silence and this continues.

I wrote the company that sold me the adapter and they suggested that it is because Sonos use an abnormal choice of frequency and thus their adapter did not work.

Anyone that could envision a fix so one can get an Analog input into the beam? Anyone know whether Sonos plan to update so the HDMI accept more standard input?
