Amp integration with ARC and speakers

Looking a slowly shifting to SONOS as part of a house move.

If I get an ARC sound bar and an AMP can I set it up so the sub (B&W PV1) connected to the amp is used in conjunction with the sound bar for movies then also with 4 speakers connected to the amp for music?

I’ve read about delay with the amp when used for movies - is this a big issue or can the delay be tuned on the amp?
