Hi, I was hoping forum members who have Sonos Beam in a 5.1 setup advise me regarding adding a Sub with my current setup of Beam and Play 3 surrounds. I have read some posts where users are happy with the sub whereas some have suggested it might be a bit of "overkill" and some users have mentioned sub overpowering the Beam. I have a small/medium size living area (15ft x 12ft x 7 ft) and the current use is regular TV, listening to music via Spotify and movies (Netflix and Bluray).

Saw Sub for sale (845 AU$) and thinking of buying or is it wise to wait for the "core sub" that might be released?

Any helpful advice much appreciated!
I recently got the SUB for my Beam and I'm completely blown away. I have a small/medium sized living room and the beam sounds just so much better with the SUB. It is expensive & I hesitated a lot but worth every penny. I picked up a refurb one from SONOS themselves, around £150 cheaper but as new!! It does not overpower the beam but it might if the sub volume is set to highest, that is before if it doesn't bring down the house!! 😃
Hi Niraj.Shr

Click the link for my take on the Beam with a Sub which I find to be a worthwhile addition. There's more info in the link as well. Cheers!
