sonos Ace wont connect with sonos arc

I was sold a bill of goods by Sonos that I had to buy the arc to buy their Sonos ace headphones.  What a mistake.  Everyday it’s a struggle to pair the ace with the arc.  It never works until I try to push the button a dozen times before it connects.  Tonight I just spent an hour and finally gave up.  Just an awful product.  The strange thing is I vacationed in Florida for 4 months.  The headphones hooked right up to a regular tv as I never had a problem.  You turn the tv on and in 3 seconds the headphones work.  Now I’m back home with the arc and pushing that button with the audio swap is an absolute nightmare.  If you’re thinking of buying - resist and go elsewhere.

Does the audio swap work better if you use the Sonos app to do it? Maybe you have bad button on the headphones.

My experience is totally different. Connecting my Ace to my Arc Ultra (or Beam (Gen 1) before that) works almost instantly.

My audio swap is flawless also.  It’s actually one of the things about the Ace that worked from day 1 and doesn’t need tweaking or some sort of non-intuitive setting adjusted.

I wear hearing aids and it appears that the Sonos Ace on Blue tooth hijacks not only the hearing aids but my iPhone too as it even takes over a phone call but won’t swap to the ARC.  In fairness Sonos tech tried everything for hours to assist me and wasn’t able to get them to do an audio swap.  They are sending me a new pair of Sonos Ace headphones thinking perhaps the pair I have is damaged.
