Can I continue having the sound on my soundbar while listening to TV ( for my wife ) while I am also connected to the same Tv with my Sonos Ace ( as I like more basses and louder )
Watching same movie but I don’t wnt to hear the kids or her complaining .
I guess my Christmas present from the wife was a waste. I wanted to listen to TV while she listens to music or I wanted to hear TV while she reads in quiet. Sonos support could not answer this question for me, I am not sure he knew what the question was as he did not speak English well. He hung up on me when I asked him to repeat my question. I will Junk my Ace and return to Bose.

That you can do, AIUI. The tv sound swaps to the Ace. The op wanted sound from soundbar and Ace.

I have a husband who as big auditive trouble (no apparel)
I want to help him (as he’s going mad with TV sound)
- Should I buy 1 Headset ACE ? (extremely expensive)
- If I dou:
- Would it work with me hearing standard sound from ARC and ERA together with him and headset ?
- I read in forum it doesn’t work
I tought :
- Should I buy 2 Headset ACE ? (2xextremely expensive)
- If I dou:
- Would it work for both of us together with 2 headset ?
- I read in forum it doesn’t work neither
I am deeply desapointed with Sonos technology.
My husband is getting mad watching TV and not earing dialog properly.
This Sonos equipement as cost us a kidney (french expression meaning really high price).
I any one as a way to sort out this problem I would invite him/her to have a raclette in wallis Switerland.
When you use the Ace for tv listening, the sound is swapped from soundbar to headphones. No sound comes from the soundbar whilst Ace is in use.
Only one set of Ace headphones is supported. You cannot both listen to tv audio simultaneously on two Aces.
Neither approach will work. It’s not possible to simultaneously play ARC and ACE audio. It’s also not possible to use two headphones,
Does your husband use hearing aids? Depending on the TV model it is possible to send audio to Bluetooth capable hearing aids and the ARC. This may not be as straightforward as you like, but this works well for some people. Also, it may be possible to use 3rd party headphones for him — depends on the TV.

You may admit that Sonos is a real failure on that aspect. Particularly the point that you can’t even use 2 headset together… why are they making offer to buy 2 pieces ? this is unfair for most people like me who naturally thought it was the way to go through the main problem, ARC + ACE … deeply disapointed.
